"Sure, if you like," Apollo smiled, taking her question for the offer it absolutely wasn't. It wasn't one of his brightest, charming smiles; whenever he'd bestowed her with one of those in the past she'd deflected it as easily as holding up a mirror, so this time his smile was much more chill. It was honest, too, he was genuinely happy to see her, to get a chance to talk to her without the background noise of a party.
"Or I could help you," he added, without missing a beat. He didn't think she'd react warmly to small talk, so thought he'd get straight to the point. "I hear you're writing an article on the old man. Want some insider info?" There was no suspicion to his voice, no threat that she was poking her nose where it wasn't wanted, just an easy, casual offer of assistance.
