On the first date, Makaria had been so nervous about it all: in the car she'd blurted out, "this is my first date ever!" with excitement. Freyr had not seemed surprised.
She still wasn't quite sure how to behave on a date, but by now it seemed like the way you behaved on a date was the same way you behaved when going out with a friend, except at the end there was kissing. Her dinners with Qebhet never had kissing.
Makaria smiled as Freyr kissed her cheek and then turned her head to him so that she could capture his lips instead.
She had been reading a little since their last date, looking for more advice. Qebhet had a friend called Hathor and she was the love goddess of the Egyptians who now wrote on a website to help mortals. Makaria was not a mortal, but she had been reading those sex advice columns with great dedicated interest anyway, even taking notes and putting them on post-its on her dorm wall. The whole sex part was a little... well, it was still an unknown territory and thus as frightening as all other unknown territories, but she was certainly becoming well versed in theory. But there was other not sex advice that Hathor gave as well.
Be bold! was one of them, and so Makaria kissed Freyr in greeting, wrapping her arms around his shoulders. When she finally drew back from the kiss she said, "you look delicious too." She sounded nowhere near as suave as he had done, but it was said with a beaming smile.
