Marcie was doing her best to seem like a responsible adult. She was signing paperwork, nodding along with what the constable said about the check in tomorrow, paying attention and making eye contact. But as Kaden was asked about further crimes to confess to, she stayed silent, not willing to throw him under the bus. He just needed time. This right now was a breakthrough. He just needed time.
