The wait seemed intolerable. Brody clearly wanted to sleep, but still Cin had to wait until his breathing grew heavy and regular before quietly saying his name to see if he would respond. But he was asleep, and hardly a thing would wake him now.
"There's no way," she whispered over the top of Brody's head, looking at Apollo in the darkness. "It's been three days!"
