"I thought," Cathal said, turning his hand to hold Marcie's on the table, rubbing his thumb softly across it, "that I might invite you back to mine for a drink, as the old suggestion goes." Her smiled at Marcie a little playfully, eyes slipping for a moment to her lips.
If this had been a first date with anyone else, Cathal never would have suggested they go home together. But- well, Marcie had been interested the other night and still seemed interested now.
