The corners of Melpomene's mouth turned up, but the expression didn't touch her eyes. It was kind, but again, it was not an easy offer to believe. She knew Clio had her reasons for locking the door on her back in Winter, but that didn't mean the memory of it didn't linger, like a splinter she couldn't dig out.
