"You got it close," Cathal said with a nod of approval, because he appreciated the way people tried. (Cathal could forgive almost anything if someone was trying. He was a big fan of Trying.) The 'oh my gods' was an interesting comment, although he didn't think it needed to mean anything more than a turn of phrase. His parents were Hindu, so he was not unused to the idea of a whole pantheon of gods watching over them, even if Cathal didn't choose to prescribe to those sorts of thoughts anymore.
"Hi Kaden, I'm Cathal," he repeated with an easy smile for both their benefits. "Hear you'll be spendin' the summer in this quaint little hamlet. Can I get you somethin' to eat?"
