"Alright," Cin finally said, because there'd been a moment in there where he looked like his brain might shut down if she argued with him about it. If this guy needed to believe that God had sent her to make sure he didn't hang himself again... Guess I've been sent by God then. What a bad choice by him.
Personally, if Cin was in Gabe's shoes, she would have much preferred the idea that her own forethought had been the thing that had saved her. Didn't Gabe think that was more impressive? That he'd forgotten Cin was coming and had chosen to hang himself on that day at that time? He'd kinda saved himself, which was way better than some fake sky daddy and his imaginary actions sending along an unprepared cleaner to do it.
But religious idiots couldn't really be reasoned with. They didn't want logic, which was why they believed in disproven things anyway.
