It had been a very long time since other volva had called upon Freyja for her aid, and she was not usually one sought out for her magic on big occasions, and especially not for something like this. But Hecate was a friend - a word she still used even though she hadn't seen her in more than twenty years - and she owed her much.
The least she could do was lend her heart and magic (as requested) to Hecate's cause.
She parked nearby and as she walked towards the front of the hotel, she realised that another presence was walking towards her from the other end of the street. The two women locked eyes, not recognising each other but recognising who they must be.
The woman walking towards her, with dark hair drawn up into a sleek high ponytail, was wearing an impeccably tailored ombre dress, black at the bottom and dusky pink at the top. She didn't take her eyes off Freyja as they came closer to each other.
When they stopped in was in the middle of the door to the hotel, and there was a moment when nothing was said. It was Freyja who broke the silence.
"Morgan?" she asked the brunette, as though she could be anyone else.
"Freyja," came the reply, and Freyja noted the way she was opening regarded up and down, as though being measured by Morgan. Freyja would accept that. They were going to work magic together and that could be something private. One must trust and understand the other people in the room.
Freyja herself was dressed in a butter yellow top and pants, no jewelry or accessories added to it. She found that those things - unless they were specifically attuned - got in the way of deep ritual. But maybe Morgan felt the same, as she was similarly unadorned. But maybe Morgan was just more of a sparse person in general.
"Shall we go in and see what all this is about?" Freyja asked, and Morgan's lip quirked, just a touch, before she nodded.
Together they rode the elevator up, and already Freyja could feel the presence of both Hecate and Merlin very strongly. When the doors open, she spotted Hecate right away and broke into a wide smile. "Hecate!" she declared, coming in and right towards her so that they could hug. "You look so beautiful!"
Morgan came in at a more sedate pace, giving Merlin a brief nod of greeting but more interested in Kaden right now.
