Any doubts that Hecate had about Morgan evaporated, and while Hecate did spare a thought that perhaps the potion and Morgan's words were working on her as much as they were working on Kaden, there wasn't a part of her that felt unsafe right now. Kaden, too, had inched out from under the car, and pressed his nose against Morgan's outstretched arm, then butted his head against it. "Morgan is right," she said to Kaden, her voice as soft as it could be through this weight of exhaustion. "You are secure, you are protected, you are loved. We will keep you safe, Kaden, we will keep you safe."
