Merlin had been reclining with an air of enforced patience, but when Luna came back and said who it was, he got to his feet at once. "Mim? Yes, yes I'll see her. I'm so sorry to interrupt our night, but it must be important if she is coming unannounced. I shall-" He started for the door himself, then stopped and turned back to Luna to speak to her quickly in a low voice.
"She is actually the goddess of fairy tales. I call her Mim, but she takes on a lot of names for herself. Too many princesses to choose from. Too many archetypes up there too." He tapped his temple. "She can be a little unpredictable, but on the other hand, entirely predictable within her own rules. I'm sure you'll get on, you like me after all." He smiled and gave Luna a kiss on the cheek. "Drink your wine and pay attention. Hopefully she is true to her word and we can be back to it shortly. I still want to see what you've got on under there."
