WHO Luna & Tinsel WHEN Midday Saturday (17th April) WHERE Staten Island (eventually) WHAT Showing Tinsel around the refuge in progress WARNINGS tba
As Luna had driven to Tinsel’s place to pick her up, she had the most annoying feeling that she’d forgotten something. She’d ended up checking that she had her phone three times and her keys twice, but fortunately it was neither of those things. Generally, Luna had found, if you had your phone, wallet, and keys, everything else could be worked out along the way. Most of the time.
She double-checked her list of weekend tasks from Peitho and Hermes and knew something was missing from it, something that had probably been mentioned in passing and that she’d told herself she’d write down later. She decided that was probably it, but she also decided that it would be dealt with later, and not today with Tinsel.
When she pulled up outside the house of Hecate’s dog-sitter, it was then that she realised what it might have been that was actually niggling at her: Hecuba wasn’t there, because Hecuba was off with Hecate. She had a vague memory of Hecate mentioning that now, but Luna didn’t plan to leave without a dog, even if it was just a normal dog dog.
Serene was getting so big – not quite full sized, but looking more like a dog than just a puppy. She was also very happy to see Luna, something which made her feel adored and loved, even if Serene reacted like that to everyone.
Luna piled her into the backseat of the car and clipped her into the harness, a difficult thing while also patting her and telling her what a good girl she was, yes she was, such a good girl!
Outside Tinsel’s apartment she sent her friend a selfie of herself leaning back to get Serene in shot. With it she sent the text Couldn’t get a Hecuba, but I found this cutie. We’re waiting downstairs for you. Serene says Dog Treats or GTFO.
