Seeing nature is good for you too, good for the soul. You should ask your dad to put some pot plants in here. Ah- speak of the devil-" She looked around at the stairs just as David came down with a tray of herbal tea and shortbread biscuits.
"Not so much," he said genially, setting Addy's mug down on her bed table with the saucer of shortbread, and then serving Billie. "I'll leave you two ladies alone." He patted Addy's leg as he went, a gesture of affection to tell her he was thinking of her. Billie watched him go, amused.
