Slowly the star chart on the ceiling came back into focus, and the rest of the room followed, and Melpomene became aware of Urania. The weight of her own body was a struggle to move, but she struggled, and turned onto her side, facing her sister.
She wouldn't accept words of comfort anyway. She could not take in words of hope. Ares had promised her he would find their son, and with the last of her strength she believed in him, but...
But she had no faith in happy endings, so there wasn't much point to soup.
She did reach out her hand though, and take Urania's. If nothing else, at least she hadn't been abandoned.
