Kaden looked dismally at the ruins of the shrine. He'd built it as an apology, because he hadn't been able to do anything else. Now he felt at war about wether he deserved to be forgiven or not... Yes - because he wanted to believe it wasn't his fault. But no - he'd still made a choice, even out of fear, and making excuses rather than accepting responsibility was a bitch-ass thing to do.
A shrine seemed a pretty poor attempt to balance all this shit out.
Kaden wanted Qebhet to keep telling him it wasn't his fault, though. Even if he struggled to believe it. Even if he wanted to argue against it. He wanted her to be right and he wanted so bad to prove her wrong.
He didn't think this 'know your own mind' charm was up to the task.
