Stutely buried his face in the map, studiously ignoring the joke. Scarlet did have a point about the water. There was one river that cut through the circled section of map; they'd followed the length of it yesterday without glimpsing hide nor hair of anybody. But there were a couple of smaller tributaries they'd yet to investigate, and those might hold more potential. Art had wanted isolated, so he'd said; made sense he might opt for somewhere less accessible. The way they'd been tracking, they should have seen water by now, so they must have veered off – he traced an index finger along the page – here.
So now all they needed to do was figure out— aaaaand that was the moment he looked up to discover that Much was already scrambling up a tree.
Well. He probably should have seen that coming.
"Careful," he called up sharply as the tree branch bowed beneath Much's weight. "Last thing we need is for you to fall and break your noggin."
