"Come sit with me, okay?" Henry asked, pulling Iestyn towards the bed, though gently enough Iestyn could get away if he tried. He sat, his hand in Iestyn's.
"I want to sleep with you too. But I feel like you might think my being careful is because you freaked me out or something and it's not. You didn't freak me out at all. And I still want you to stop me if you need me to."
Henry heaved a deep sigh and then he said, "when I was eighteen, I had a fake ID and no parental supervision. I had sort of just gotten over my fear of nighttime so I went out every weekend. I frequented clubs that didn't get too dark, lightshows, and stuff. And where there's lightshows, there's acid and ecstasy and party pills.
"Every weekend for like two years, I got blackout drunk or too high to know what was happening and- I made a lot of decisions I wouldn't have made if I were sober. I never initiated anything, but there were definitely people who took advantage of the fact that I was a horny teenager and too out of it to protest. I have no idea how many people I've slept with because I can't remember some of it. I'd wake up in some random's bed and- I'm fine about it, none of it was traumatising, but I don't exactly like that it happened. And that's why I watch body language like a hawk and might have misread yours."
