WHO: Pandora & Prometheus WHEN: Sunday around midday WHERE: Prometheus' studio WHAT: Apologies and probably arguing as well WARNINGS: tba but probably nothing.
Pandora had needed to see her husband (ex-husband? still husband?) but she knew that it had been cruel to use Hermes as her bartering chip. Pandora was close to the Olympian God and she trusted him (as far as anyone could trust a god in any case) but she knew very well thatb Prometheus had good reasons not to.
So it was wrong. And Pandora wanted to make it right.
Coming from a breakfast meeting with a children's author Pandora was well-dressed (far too well dressed for a Sunday morning really) when she showed up at the art studio belonging to the Titan.
Pandora stood in his doorway, the sunlight behind her, and waited for Prometheus to see her.
Prometheus had left Pandora and his brother to it. He'd said nothing about how willing the girl had been to sell Epimetheus out to the Olympians. Prometheus guessed his brother wouldn't have reacted well.
When the bell rang he got up from his place at the statue and had to blink. He'd worked straight through the night again. Not uncommon, but not exactly good. With a shrug he started up some coffee before answering the door.
He sighed as he saw the girl, "my brother isn't here."

[info]pandoros 2011-04-24 02:58 pm UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select Pandora's voice was gentle. "I didn't come to find him," she said, stepping inside even though he'd not asked her to. "I came to find you, Prometheus."
Never before had the two of them met. It was impossible for her not to know who he was the moment she'd met him online, but still it felt strange to be finally seeing him in person.

"I find I am easily found these days." He walked further into the studio, pushing the half finished statue out of the way, "coffee?"

[info]pandoros 2011-04-24 03:17 pm UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select "Yes, thank you," she settled the bag on her shoulder a little more and ignored the complaints of the box within. She was working herself up to the apology.

[info]firestealer 2011-04-24 03:29 pm UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select He poured her the coffee, handing her the mug before he paused. Then without asking he walked to her bag, and without having to look took the box (that had been a jar when he'd made it) out of it and studied it.
Then he smiled and sat down, fingers running along the edges. "Well, well."

[info]pandoros 2011-04-24 03:33 pm UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select Pandora had dropped the mug and it shattered at her feet, spilling boiling coffee over her bare legs and burning them. But she couldn't even think about that because he had her box!
"Give it back!" she shrieked, her tone one of sheer and utter terror.

[info]firestealer 2011-04-24 03:36 pm UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select The shriek and the crash of the mug made him look up and frown. Zeus and his damned tricks. Had he known he'd never have made the thing. He wanted to bite back and snap at her, but he didn't.
He just glanced to the box with a smile before setting it aside. "It looks different."

[info]pandoros 2011-04-24 03:42 pm UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select As soon as he let it out of hands Pandora practically dove for it, knees skidding painfully across the floor as she fell to them to grab it from the table. She wrapped her arms around the box and wanted to almost cry in relief as she held it tightly against her breasts. She felt like she was about to have a panic attack.
She hadn't even heard his last comment.

[info]firestealer 2011-04-24 03:48 pm UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select Strange. That was a reaction he wasn't used to. She looked like she would freak at a breeze at this point. Not knowing how to react to that he just picked up a rag and wiped the coffee away, picking up the pieces of the mug to let the girl calm down.
He wondered when she'd realize he'd been able to tell she'd had the box in the first place.

[info]pandoros 2011-04-24 03:52 pm UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select "Please don't touch my box," Pandora finally said, her words shaking as she still held it close. It was happy though, content and smug, pleased in some way she couldn't understand. "No one is allowed to touch it."

[info]firestealer 2011-04-24 03:57 pm UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select He smiled to the comments, handing her a wet rag, "your legs." Then he sighed and glanced to the box. "I think I'm allowed. I should have made a better lock for it though."

[info]pandoros 2011-04-24 04:00 pm UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select Now that she'd stood Pandora looked down at her legs in confusion, finding them red from where coffee has splashed up them. Holding the box tightly in one arm she wiped herself down but her gaze shot back up to him when she realised what he was telling her.
"You made it?" She asked him, shocked. "You made this thing?" The bane of her existence and it had been Prometheus who'd created it in the first place. She'd been coming to apologise to him but now she was starting to think that she deserved the apology.

[info]firestealer 2011-04-24 04:07 pm UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select He chuckled, then nodded. "I did." He straightened, tossing the last of the pieces of broken mug away. He wondered how much blame he would shoulder for this. "Before you, before everything, Zeus commissioned me to make a jar. Said it would hold those things that plagued mankind. Back then, they were still mine, so I did. I wanted them to have peace."
He took a broom to wipe the stray small pieces aside, "I didn't know what he intended to do with it." He shrugged, "perhaps I should have known. Regardless, what was done is done. Now what do you need?"

[info]pandoros 2011-04-24 04:11 pm UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select It was difficult to focus on anything but the fact that Prometheus had built the box. Everything that it was came from him. Everything that had entire life had been focused on was all because of god damn Prometheus.
She found herself on her knees again, this time kneeling in front of Prometheus as though she were the student of a great master. She held the box in her hands. "Why does it change form?" she asked him, needing to know everything she could suddenly. "How does it know how to get to me? What is its purpose now if the evils are released? Is there still hope inside?"

[info]firestealer 2011-04-24 04:15 pm UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select He blinked and picked her up, setting her on her legs. "Don't do that." Sighing he motioned to a chair for her. "Sit down." He shrugged and ran his fingers through his hair. "I don't know. I'll have to look at it to be sure."
He shook his head, "it changes because, I suppose it's a box now. Hope is probably out, seeing everyone hopes. Other then that, I simply don't know. I suspect the stories have a good part in it. I suspect it toys for the same reason I keep seeing eagles."

[info]pandoros 2011-04-24 04:20 pm UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select Pandora let him move her, because her body was a foreign thing and all that mattered was information about the box.
No hope within. No evils. So the question that Pandora had to ask in a hushed whisper was, "so what's inside it?"
It was a daily struggle for Pandora, the first woman of mankind, created with that unquenchable curiosity, to not open the box. And now being told it wasn't hope... well, what was inside it?
She had set it on the table, forcing herself to remove her hands, but still watching it. Though Pandora could hear nothing, she could 'hear' it chuckling darkly at all of this.

[info]firestealer 2011-04-24 04:26 pm UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select He smiled at her and walked to her side, studying the box with curious hands. "Everything and nothing." It wasn't an answer, but yet it was. Somehow. It made sense to him. "I don't know." He ran his hand along the lid of it, almost smiling.
"It has it's own purpose now I imagine. I don't have your answers girl. I'm sorry." he set the thing down and just watched it. "what someone can create, someone can destroy." To many it may be odd addressing an inanimate object, so he just tapped the lid.
Then he turned to Pandora, "you didn't come here for this."

[info]pandoros 2011-04-24 04:29 pm UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select Prometheus needn't have worried about Pandora thinking him strange for talking to the box. She spoke more to that hunk of wood than to actual people most days.
It has it's own purpose now. Those were disquieting words and she slowly took the box and slipped it back into her back, trying not to shudder.
"No, I came to-" she paused, having forgotten for a moment. Then she shook her head and turned her attention to him. "I came to make my apology."

[info]firestealer 2011-04-24 04:37 pm UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select He handed her a new mug of coffee, a little confused what she was apologizing for. "For what, exactly?" It was a little worrying the box was around, that it knew Pandora and know knew him. He could see it going badly.
But he crossed his arms and leaned on one of his benches, wondering if he should warn his brother about all this.

[info]pandoros 2011-04-24 04:39 pm UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select That he didn't remember didn't mean Pandora could hold back her apology. "I threatened you with Hermes," she reminded him. "I shouldn't have done that."

[info]pandoros 2011-04-24 04:49 pm UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select "I don't make him happy," Pandora objected simply, putting down the coffee mug that she'd been handed, untouched. "I make him miserable."
