WHO Luna & Merlin WHEN Thursday night WHERE Merlin’s home WHAT Some important documents to go over WARNINGS Smut. It's just all smut, you guys.
Luna had to admit to a certain sense of anxiety as she made her way to Merlin’s place for her first night with him since her ‘time away’. She didn’t quite know how he was going to react to the way she looked now, even though he’d said he didn’t mind scars. Luna was under no illusions that her looks weren’t the main interest people had in her, at least when it came to sex. Maybe in another six months the scars would become less prominent, less obviously the mark of a very recent trauma, but for now they were so impossible to not think about.
But she had a more important thing to consider: what Merlin would think of the pages in her hand about the giant skeleton she’d seen in the woods. She’d put them into a classy document folder bought specifically for this purpose, and she felt a little like she was on her way to show a very naughty professor her findings.
Luna hoped she got an A+.
Dressed in a leather skirt and skull shirt, Luna found his door unlocked and waiting for her, and made her way inside. There was no outfit for her in the vestibule this time - she was being herself today - and so she made her way deeper into the house towards the library.
“Hello, sir,” she said from the doorway, tilting her head to the side and smiling at him.
Merlin had to admit, being without Luna the last little while had made him feel a little lacking in his life. He’d been missing quite a few things actually. Hadn’t been sleeping with his improv students so much. Merry Men not looking his way. Arthur was busy. And as always, Thalia had been gone. It seemed like his luck was turning, and some of his birds were returning home to roost.
When Luna walked in, he sat up straight where he sat in his favourite chaise, and beamed at her. “Good evening, my dear. What a sight for sore eyes you are.” He stood up, dressed in fitted smoke-grey trousers and a linen shirt, half-moon glasses perched on his nose. No three-piece suits today. He was going to be just as comfortable as she was. “Come in, come in!” He held out his hands to greet her.
The library was such a familiar space for Luna by now - although still filled with so many fascinating books that she had barely even scratched the surface - that even just being here made her feel more at ease. The girl who existed here didn’t traumatise teenage boys. (Although, on more than one occasion, she’d certainly played the role of Sexy Precocious Teen here.)
Luna took one of his hands (since her other was holding the folder) and she leaned up higher in her heels so that she could kiss Merlin’s cheek in greeting. Her smile for the old wizard was genuine. “It’s really good to see you,” she told him.
