"Oh. Okay," Henry backed off, incredibly surprised that Iestyn had pulled away from him. He had never done that before. It hurt, but Iestyn had the right not to be touched. "Right, I'll- I'll go- I'll go cook," he said, slipping out of the bed and heading into the kitchen. Iestyn's kitchen didn't have much in it, so he went upstairs instead, stopping to pet one of the cats as he did.
Once up there, he located everything, and set about scrambling some eggs and making some toast. He flicked on some coffee as well, and located some juice which he pulled out in case Iestyn wanted that. Maybe he should go? Maybe Iestyn needed space? But then his boyfriend would be alone... God, Henry didn't know what to do. The truth was that they'd only been together for a short time. He didn't know Iestyn very well at all. And he didn't know how Iestyn dealt with things like this. While Henry would have wanted to cling, maybe Iestyn didn't.
When everything was cooked, Henry headed downstairs and he stuck his head into the bedroom. "It's ready," he said quietly.
