By the time they had been there fourteen hours, everyone was exhausted and hungry. Henry had been doing what he could, fetching drinks and food and trying to be cheerful on the odd occasion that a conversation happened. Eventually he fell into a sort of half-sleep there on the bench. Across from him, Tuck was leaning against Will's shoulder, dozing.
Iestyn hadn't returned.
And finally a doctor came out to address them, and this time it wasn't an intern. Henry woke to the footsteps, and he said, "guys! Doctor!"
The doctor waited until they were all more or less awake. "Aderyn has been transferred to a private room on the ward, but she's going to need to remain here for a few days for monitoring. If she manages that well enough she can go home, but she is on strict bed rest for the remainder of her pregnancy. She's asking to see the father first? Will?"
