Thalia's eyes lit up again at the idea. "Definitely bring Michael! I don't know if he'll enjoy himself or if he'll be horribly confused, but I know I wanna be there for it." Michael delighted Thalia. So much of human emotion was alien territory to him and his pop culture knowledge was nonexistent, so most jokes went straight over his head. Which meant two things: one, he had a habit of being unintentionally hilarious, and two, when Thalia did coax a laugh out of him, it was gloriously satisfying.
She paused to take a bite of her cake and gave a pleased hum as the sweet taste of caramel and sugary buttercream filled her mouth. "You're still teaching, right? Columbia?"
