WHO: Robin Hood, Sheriff of Nottingham, Much the Miller's Son, Alan-a-Dale, Michael the Archangel, Artemis, (Kratos?), Maid Marian WHEN: Tuesday Evening WHERE: Sheriff's place WHAT: A rescue WARNINGS: TBD
They had only been in town a few hours before locating the house where the Sheriff of Nottingham was keeping Marian. They were going to free her from his clutches. Tonight.
Robin had briefed everyone, giving them encouraging words and hyping them up. He had given Much no less than six hugs while trying to decide if he wanted a sword or a knife, along with his trusty bow and arrow. In the end he went with a knife. He'd leave the sword wielding to Michael.
They surrounded the house, keeping to the shadows, making sure they were far enough away still, that they wouldn't be felt yet. And then Robin whistled. It was an unmistakable sound, to any of the Merry Men. It meant 'if you're in a dungeon, I'm here to get you out' or 'that's me outside, stop shooting arrows at me, you arsehole'. It was their call to each other, and he hoped Marian would hear, and it would give her hope.
