WHO Freyr and Lewis Carroll WHEN Thursday WHERE Wonderland Oddities and Antiques WHAT a curious meeting WARNINGS tba, probably none
Freyr found his way through the city, hands in pockets, smiling and nodding at people he past. Some of them ignored him, some smiled politely back, some thought he was after something and veered to give him a wide berth.
He was after something, but it wasn’t any of them. There was something missing in his life. It was hard to pinpoint exactly what, though, and he was hoping that he would strike some inspiration as to what exactly it was he needed to look for. Maybe he just hadn’t been around the other gods for too long. He’d been quite content for the last few years to work his little patch, interact with his neighbours, run his business, and just get on with life, without the influence of anyone else. But he missed it, sometimes. Missed the drama the pantheon inevitably brought with them. Missed interacting with the other pantheons. Some, like Aphrodite, he’d been friends with for a good long while, but it had been an age since he’d seen them. Sure, he kept in touch with his sister by phone, but it wasn’t the same.
A shop window caught his attention, and he stopped to look in. A sunbeam had caught the brass stand of an antique globe, making it gleam brightly.
Wonderland Oddities and Antiques. Well, if it was as described, perhaps he would find some sort of inspiration here.
The doorbell (a literal bell over the door!) tinkled as he entered, and it looked exactly like he pictured an antique store looking. Dust motes drifting through sunbeams, the smell of old books, a hand-written “You break it, you bought it” sign stuck to the front of the counter. Freyr smiled and wandered slowly along a shelf, looking over the little kitchy knick-knacks and curios.
