Marian, in some part of herself, recognises that. She knows that all her dreams of late have only been of the demon and all the ways he had hurt her, and there is never anything like this in them.
There is never the Major Oak.
Seeing it, Marian is drawn in. Home. Safety.
She knows that it's not real. Something about this dream makes her know it's a dream, though she is not one to ever feel the difference.
A voice speaks her name, or perhaps she only feels her name. She feels the hand on her shoulder though, and Marian turns. It is the goddess of fairytales she finds standing there and Marian stands up.
Is this her doing? Her forests?
She opens her mouth to speak but then realises she doesn't know how to speak. Does Marian speak? Is that a part of her story? Is this place a story?
