"Darn right," Clio leaned down to kiss Ella's head. "Why don't you take your present upstairs and let poor Will get more than two steps inside the door," she said, amused.
"Okay!" Ella put all the pieces back into the box and charged up the stairs to put them away.
Clio extended a hand to help Will up as Patrick headed to the kitchen. "I'll make you both some tea!" he called over his shoulder.
"You're a godsend!" she called back, leading Will into the living room so he could relax on the sofa. "How hungry are you, darling? Or do you want to take a nap? Oh goodness, I don't know what to do."
