WHO: Peitho & Prometheus
WHEN: Monday afternoon
WHERE: Prometheus' studio
WHAT: An artistic progress report
WARNINGS: Mostly just Peitho hitting on people, as is her way.
Lounging around her apartment Peitho liked to occasionally stop and think about how she was currently being fashioned out of clay by a great artist. It was a delightful thought and she'd already told Hermes of where she planned to put it when it was finished. (The idea that Prometheus might not want to let go of his art for some reason hadn't even crossed her mind. what Peitho wanted she was used to getting.)
So on Monday she made her way back to his studio to check on his progress. She stepped inside his studio without knocking but the sharp click of her stilettos against the floor announced her presence.
"Ah," Peitho said triumphantly as she spotted him. "There's my artist. Hard at work, darling?" She slowly peeled off her black opera gloves as she approached.
He still wasn't used to her presence, but he tended to get lost in his work. He was a perfectionist and liked getting every detail right. He'd already finished the upper half of the statue, and was starting on the lower one.
When she spoke he glanced up, not too fond of being called 'hers'. Yet she was a paying customer so he nodded, "As you can tell. If you want, the couch is there. I want to get the details right."

Instead of moving to his couch to play model, Peitho walked over closer to him and crouched to look at the face of the statue, a copy of herself frozen forever. "Beautiful," she told him, quite impressed.

"Getting there," if it wasn't for his buyers taking things out of his hands he'd probably never sell anything. He'd just fuss over it until time stopped. "Can I help you?"

Peitho drew back from the art so she could look at it from a different angle. "Just think of me as your patron," she said, not really all that focused on him at the moment. The resemblance to her was perfect.

He scoffed and went back to the statue, continuing to mold the clay under his fingers. The big parts weren't too hard. It was the details that would bother him. Even if he saw it again he'd point those out. "You haven't paid me yet, to be my patron."

The bundle of notes that Peitho took from her coat was thick enough to please most and she set it down on the table nearest to him but said nothing. Instead she ran her hand just above the clay, not touching his art but absorbing what it was instead.

He had to wonder there, but most not of Titan blood were odd enough. With a shrug he set the money in his pocket before going back to the clay figure. IT wouldn't be too much longer until it was finished.

(Unless I've screwed up his family tree in which case IGNORE EVERYTHING.)

By all rights, Peitho herself should have been married into the Titans and not the Olympians. Prometheus' own mother was Peitho's sister, and both Peitho and Prometheus shared Gaia as their grandmother. She would have made a good Titan as she saw it, although she was quite happy with her place as a Oceanid.
She turned her gaze from the clay to him instead. "Do you ever leave this studio of yours?"

Most Titans had not been afforded to marry amongst themselves. He'd been lucky. As his Aunt, technically anyway, he knew they would have kept her with an Olympian to make sure their alliances were clear. Too many of the Titans who swore alliance, like him, without marrying Olympians tended to be trouble.
He looked at her and smiled, "I do. Left it earlier this week."

Peitho liked his smile. Yes, that needed to come out more. She reached out and took his hand between hers, running her fingers over them admiringly. "An artist's hands," Peitho said. "Often the same as a great lover's hands."

He chuckled and took his hands back. They were covered in clay as it was. "It's a rumor, yeah." He shrugged and sat back to watch her, "you know, last time a pretty girl came to people like me and my brother it didn't end well. You'll forgive me if I still think it a trap."

Peitho laughed softly at that as well, her smile teasing as slipped down onto her knees so they were at a closer height (although it put her slightly shorter than him). "Would one little kiss be so terrible?" she purred.

"It might be, yes." He was paranoid around these people. They'd send a doom to his brothers house and caused the suffering of the creatures he created. He didn't think anyone could blame him for it.
He smiled and looked back to the clay, focusing on that instead.

Peitho let him work on his art - she certainly didn't want to discourage that - but after a moment leaned in to whisper at his ear, persuasion twisting in her breath. "But what if my lips never touched yours?" she asked, and it sounded like it almost could have been an innocent question, had it not come from seduction herself, had it not been whispered so close. "Wouldn't that be allowed?"

Like many others he wasn't immune to her charms. The magic behind her words made him shiver and pause in his sculpting. It had been a while, but still. Danger was written all over that, "Don't do that." He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "I suppose, yes."

It annoyed Peitho when gods could tell she was using something against them other than her usual charms. Some of them were just too perceptive when it came to that. "No magic then," she promised, lips still at his ear. Then she smiled darkly when he caved a little more to her desires.
Peitho ever so gently ran her tongue up along the pulse of his throat before letting her lips linger against his skin.

The touch of her tongue on her skin made him shiver and close his eyes. he set his hands on his knees trying to enjoy it but something kept screaming 'trap'. He worried if he let his guard down, he'd end up in chains again.
Suddenly he rose and stepped back from her, "just. Don't." He didn't trust her. Not for the life of him. "Let's keep this professional."

From her kneeling position on the floor she sighed and then drew herself up to stand again. "Alright," she told him, relenting. For now. "Professional," she promised him, even raising her hands in front of her in surrender.
She smiled at him then and headed for the door. "I'll be back in a few days to see your work."

He breathed a sigh of relief when she was leaving. He watched her and nodded, "it'll be done in a few days and we'll discuss a price." He picked up some tools before walking back to the statue.
