"Tuck, stop it, it's not blood poisoning, it's just an infection, I'm fine! Stop freaking out!" Will said loudly, trying to snap Tuck out of whatever spiral he was falling down. "I'll put some more disinfectant on it and a clean dressing and it'll be better, okay?"
Blood poisoning? That wasn't right. He'd seen blood poisoning in the wars, seen guys in the hospital go down with it fast. Some survived, some didn't. Those that did sometimes took months or years to recover. That wasn't him, but Tuck's reaction was making him worried, and he looked up at Marian, fearing what she might have to exchange for possibly his life.
