Marcie shook her head as Barak began to undress, starting to struggle in earnest. “No!! NO! You piece of shit, you’re dead, you’re dead-”
“When I’m the leader, things will be different,” Barak said, jerking his head at Ezio. “Maybe we’ll keep you in here as stress relief, eh? If you bite, you won’t have any teeth afterwards.” Ezio kicked Marcie’s feet out from under her, and she was forced down onto her knees as Barak advanced on her, his hand on his belt buckle. He caressed her face with his hand. “I like the spirited ones. I like breakin’ ‘em. Is she a good little cocksucker, Tragos? I hope you’re paying attention. You could take notes on how a real man operates.” His hand ran into her hair to clench his fist and jerk her head back.
Marcie glared up at Barak, trying not to look at Tragos, keeping her jaw clenched shut. She wasn’t going to do this. It wasn’t happening. Behind her, she could hear sounds as Ezio shifted his grip to hold her wrists in one hand, to take off his belt and bind her arms together. Barak was clearly aroused, but she refused to look away from his face, trying to brace herself for what was coming. She wished Tragos wasn’t seeing this. He was never going to look at her the same, she just knew. She was going to bite Barak, even if he hit her again, she wouldn't just let this happen, there had to be something she could do-
“So you think you can do a better job of running this place than me?”
The sound of the low growl of a large, highly-trained dog permeated the room. Ares filled the doorway, calmly taking it all in. Nobody could have said how long he’d been standing there for, called in by the sounds of shouting and the internal pull of battle. Long enough to know the brewings of an attempted coup when he saw it.
Ezio’s hands dropped from Marcie in an instant, and her hands flew to her chest to cover herself as she used the distraction to scramble out of reach. Ares’ gaze flicked to her for a moment, just long enough to warn her not to leave yet. Not that she would have. What was about to happen here was something she really did not want to miss.
