Calliope looked at Clio a little thoughtfully- and why was Hermes here? but she filed that away for later. One thing at a time.
"Well you have lady History here, of course. Thalia is comedy. Polyhymnia is sacred poetry- or as her name suggests, many hymns. Euterpe is lyric poetry, she recently left town, off on another adventure. Terpsichore is dance. I think she's on a fifty-state tour with her dance troupe right now. And our little Pluto, Urania is astronomy. She is about, but she's not particularly social, so don't take it personally if she's not falling over herself to meet you- unless you have a secret interest in the stars?" She chewed her food appreciatively.
"This is absolutely delicious, by the way. And I think you are right that Erato would ask personal questions, but she is a sucker for love stories. If you're lucky, she might whisper you a little sonnet that will help get my dear Clio's heart racing." She winked at Clio and smiled at Stutely. She was at her happiest when she got to hold court and share a long tale to a crowd. Well, two people, beggars couldn't be choosers now.
