There was something interesting about this girl, so laid back, so unbothered, so... unlike every single girl he knew, right now.
Like, Much didn't begrudge any of his friends for being wound up, especially at the moment, but it was kinda chill just to have ice cream with someone who seemed so unaffected by the world.
He joined her at the booth with his pile of chocolate-raspberry-coconut-lime, covered exclusively in pop-rocks. "You're welcome," he said, shoveling a mostly-lime spoonful into his mouth and making a face as the pop rocks exploded on him. "Oh yeah, good life choices've been made tonight, folks."
