Joan miraculously did not bang the plates onto the table, nor did she throw the toast down or butter it like she was swinging a sword. She tipped the eggs from the pan onto the toast, then pushed the plate to Antigone, and sat down to eat her own.
She looked thoughtfully at Antigone, then nodded. "I see. Better to pay no attention at all, don't give her the satisfaction. Not my usual style, but a worthy one nonetheless." She shoved a forkful of eggs into her mouth and said around it, "So what are you going to do now?"
