Of course he'd accuse Romeo of lying, but it came off as a bit pathetic, when Antigone felt it was so obvious they both knew how badly he'd been treating Romeo. Why lie about that, other than that it was just what men did when they raped their way through woman after woman. Lie about it, get away with it.
