"First step is we find them," Marian told him gently. "We can worry about all the rest of it when it gets to it." It was true they might not want to see him. It seemed likely they that believed he was dead, after all. If their mother hadn't been able to deal with Tuck being alive, she wasn't going to tell her kids that he was. She probably figured they'd think she was as crazy as she felt.
But maybe not? Maybe something had changed?
They were all guesses though, until she actually found them. "I'll start checking for them tonight," she promised her friend. "If they're able to be found, then we will find them for you."
If nothing else, it was another purpose to fill Marian's long days.
