"It's peaceful outside of the city," Urania told him, taking the offered glass after she had sat down beside him, her legs tucked to the side beneath her. "All those people talking all day and saying nothing at all."
Urania, like her sisters, was meant to be around people, meant to inspire them. But perhaps more than any of the others, Urania found their presence draining. She was a creature that craved quiet. Calliope wanted grand speeches and Euterpe wanted concerts and symphonies and Melpomene wanted endless drama; Urania just wanted somewhere quiet to be unharnessed with her thoughts and an open sky.
Merlin, she had discovered on the night of the symposium, was quite fine for that. He'd proved that he could sit in silence and not feel the need to say something just to break it.
She wouldn't have invited him to join her tonight if that hadn't been the case.
