Will glanced across at Marian, catching her meaning. He'd be lying if he hadn't wondered. Robin had told him about it, and Robin hadn't waited for any of the details, had heard only that Marian had slept with Gisborne and then immediately blown his top, in classic Robin fashion. That left some rather ominous gaps in the picture that Will tried not to contemplate. (Had he hurt her? Had he messed with her the way he'd messed with Will? God help us, had she even been willing?)
But it was her story to tell, and God knew she'd suffered for it enough already. He wasn't going to reopen that wound just for his own peace of mind.
"Done a lot of dumb shit myself these past few years, if I'm honest." He met her gaze quietly. "I won't ask, unless you want to talk about it."
