There was not a chance he was going to tell her he saw someone die too, and that he did it, no matter that the Sheriff deserved it, and would be coming back. He wasn't telling a soul outside of those who needed to know, who he trusted with his life. And she didn't need to hear it. She would look at him differently and he couldn't handle that.
