Much raked his hand roughly through his hair, wanting to tell her about... He wasn't sure what. Tuck. Tuck's throat. The way Will held Tuck's head on his lap, curled so gently over him. The feeling he'd had of being compelled to talk to Tuck even though he knew Tuck couldn't hear him.
Putting all that into words though... Not so easy.
But she took a deep breath and so did he. "He's fine in ice for now," he said eventually, trying to be practical without letting too much emotion spill out. "We'll figure shit out as it comes. Sometimes you just have to react to stuff, you know? We wait and see what he decides... Yeah, what he decides to do." The tense had felt wrong, when he started speaking, but honestly, he couldn't have put it better.
