"East Fence," she repeated to herself with a nod. "Midnight, 7th."
It appeared the city hadn't updated the systems on this for a while, and so Marian tried to find the backdoor. The less a system was updated, the less secure it was. She pulled the felt tip pen off the side of her laptop where it lived in a little clip, and every now and then she paused typing to writing to copy a string of numbers onto her arm so that she could use them later.
"Okay," Marian kept typing. "I can erase the feeds from here and just delete everything from this whole neighbourhood- less suspicious than just the park - but if the system dumps periodically to a server that only connects temporarily - which would be the smart way to do it for security - then I can't access that and it'll keep a record, no matter what I- Ah look, there you are."
She turned the screen to them so they could see their little videoed selves and then shook her head, putting it back down in front of her.
Marian frowned at the video, watching them disappear from frame. She flicked over to the other cameras at the same time but couldn't find them again. "Looks like the actual murder didn't end up on tape," Marian said clear relief, taking a long drink from her beer. "Thank god. But I'll check through the next couple hours and see if I spot the body getting moved." She started downloading the park videos to her computer and drained her glass while it did that. "But first I'm deleting all of this."
