Ate didn't know how many years it had been since she was in New York. Most of her time of late had been spent in East St. Louis, Illinois, a city with such a high murder rate that Ate felt the population barely even knew she was there.
But she'd grown so bored there of the lack of godly fun. Just mortals around was a delight when it came to torment, of course, but Ate sometimes just wanted to get chiles en nogada with someone and talk honestly about how dumb and breakable humans were.
It was pure luck that her arrival back in the city led straight to a party.
A party? Just for her? Too kind, how sweet.
Once there she made a bee-line straight across the room and towards Hermes. Her dress was cute and her shoes were deadly. Once she was standing behind her brother she reached out and covered his eyes, pressing her body against his back and her lips against his ear.
