Hecate watched Merlin turn toward the sound of her dogs, waiting for the moment he turned over his other shoulder where the ghost of an old woman was waiting, her long hair scraggly around her face. The ghost was a friend of hers, and harmless - or at least, not violently harmful - but Hecate had to admit, she had a particularly good ghosty look about her, all hollow cheeks and sunken eyes.
