Much Millerson ([info]muchofamuchness) wrote in [info]nevermore_logs,
Oh Much was definitely going to find more ways to tease her again if that was her reaction. If he hadn't had a plan to cook dinner, he would have found a way to carry it on - he wondered if she'd take being pinned up against the wall as well as she'd taken being pressed up against the window?

But they'd never get to eat, if he went down that track yet. And he did want to feed her, as much as he wanted to kiss her.

“So I thought – venison,” he said, opening the bag on the bench she'd pointed him toward. “I thought: hark back to the old days, eat some deer. Then I thought, I don’t know enough about you, and the old days, and if deer had anything to do with it. Then I thought, you’re overthinking dinner, Much. Then there was a woman behind me getting very pushy about wanting her pork sausages so I bought the venison and scarpered.” He’d also thought, this is expensive and almost the last of my paycheck, but he hadn't let that stop him. Much wasn't very good at letting things stop him.
