"Hey!" Mairead popped her head into the living room where Aderyn was watching Friends on Netflix. "So, this chick Julia? So hot! Extremely hot! Thank you so much for her number," Mairead grinned.
"I aim to please!" Addy grinned right back at the Irish girl. Just because she couldn't truly appreciate all that Julia had to offer, didn't mean Mairead couldn't! "I should invite her over, it'd be nice to see her again."
"That works for me, as long as you're okay with the lesbians abandoning you after a fashion," Mairead winked.
"I should hope so!" Addy laughed.
"Right on! There's a package for you, by the way. I put it in your room before I realised you were in here."
"Awesome!" Addy jumped up from the sofa, flicking the telly off. As she passed Mairead, she planted a cute kiss on her cousin's cheek, before darting up the stairs and into the room she shared with Iestyn. There on her bed was a huge box, clearly from her Aunty Rhiannon. Addy ripped into it excitedly, putting the clothes she had requested for herself and Iestyn aside. There were lots of food items as well, which Aderyn was pleased to see. Mostly though, she was looking for the photo albums she had asked Rhiannon to send along as a surprise for David.
Things had been slightly strained between the two of them, though they were slowly finding their footing again. Aderyn had asked her aunty for the photo albums well before Lucifer was awful on her journal which had sent Addy spiralling. She was sort of glad they had taken their time to get here. It was better than she was getting along with her father for this.
She flounced to his door, knocking excitedly. "Da? Are you prayin'? I have a present!" she called out, hoping her voice gave away the fact that this was a happy thing and not another upsetting conversation.
