If Malcolm had expected his words to leave an impact on Marian, he was going to be disappointed. Because she didn't believe him. Sure, he'd gotten Much not long ago, but that only just went to prove that it was even less likely he'd gotten any of the others in trouble. The Merry Men came out on top more often than the Sheriff did.
So instead of allowing him to get a rise out of her, Marian turned her attention to back out the window. She would ignore him, and while she did she would try to think of her best way out of this.
There were other people in the carriage. Screaming for help was an option. Someone would certainly do something, even if it was just a little distraction. Marian was young and pretty and Malcolm came across as, in the fairest of lights, sinister as fuck.
