David had asked Aderyn to go with him to his apartment so he could pick up a few things, and Aderyn had jumped at the opportunity. Sure she wanted to see his green house he went on about, and cuddle with Bryn II, but mostly she wanted to spend time with her father one on one. There was so much about him she still wanted to know. She wanted to fill him in on the minutiae of her life and hear that he was proud. Something deep inside craved that, and the recent loss of her mother made it even more intense.
Aderyn had spent her life without a father and now she had one. She was going to jump into this budding relationship with him with both feet.
"I'm ready!" she announced, jogging down the steps from her bedroom at Patrick's, towards the front door. Patrick and Iestyn had already headed out. She zipped up her purple hoodie and grinned at David. "Are you driving or are we taking a taxi?"
