Patrick hadn't known that. He hadn't known any of it and he felt like the worst brother. David had been there for him through nearly losing his soul, through John leaving him, through losing Clio to death and then just because she was done with him. David had always been there, so calm and steady, and Patrick hadn't returned the favour.
What he could do now, was find the tissues. Patrick rose and grabbed them, bounding back with the box so he could sit beside David, his hand on David's arm. "I can't imagine," Patrick breathed.
