Isaiah had gotten home from looking at buildings, and gone to find Jesse almost as soon as he got in. He'd told him about how it had went, and how Galina had mentioned she'd like to try Cajun food. Jesse had looked a bit surprised, but he'd agreed easily enough. He deflated slightly when Jesse mentioned they'd have to go grocery shopping, because Jesse was a bit of a perfectionist when he chose things.

Isaiah had gotten conscripted into helping chop and mix things the next day, but he didn't mind too much. After all, the kitchen was starting to smell really good, and that always made him happy. He lifted the lid off a pot on the stove, taking a peak at the simmering sausage gumbo inside. "Leave it," Jesse said, shooing him away. "You're gonna let all the heat out." Isaiah smiled and raised his hands in a gesture of surrender, backing away from the pot.

Galina was feeling anxious, but she did really like Isaiah and she wanted to try Cajun food. She had spent most of her life in Russia and she loved trying new things in her new home, and expanding her horizons.

She rang the bell and the door was almost immediately pulled open by JJ who grinned widely at her. "Galina? Isaiah told us about you. You're Svetlana's sister, right? Come in, come in!"

Galina nodded and stepped inside. "Svetka is my sister, yes. She is having a date night with her husband apparently or she would have come. It smells delicious!"

"Doesn't it? ISAIAH!"

Isaiah heard JJ calling from his spot in the kitchen, though honestly, most of the neighborhood probably had. He wiped his hands on a towel and made his way to the door, smiling at both of them. "Hey, you made it," he said to Galina. "Awesome. Jesse's apparently decided that he needs to guard the stove like a dragon with his hoard, but he's in the kitchen if you want to meet him." Jesse called out something in Creole about how Isaiah was a smartass, but he just laughed.

	Galina didn't understand why a dragon would guard a hoard or a stove, but she nodded and smiled anyway. "I would love to meet him!" she said, since that seemed like the important part of what he had said. "Svetka said he was very kind. You have a beautiful home." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Jesse, come on out here," Isaiah called. "I'm pretty sure you can step away from the stove for a minute." "You say that, and then something overflows or burns," Jesse grumbled good-naturedly.
