"I have one grandchild, I'm practically obligated to spoil him," Ceridwen said absently, digging through her bag. "First things first," she said to Patricia, pulling out a bottle of aspirin. "Should help with the pain and inflammation."
"Now let me see," she continued, peering at her black eye. "Apologies, tell me if anything hurts too much." She laid her fingers gently above Patricia's eye, letting her magic flow them. Not too much, that would give it away. But she could help with the worst of it. "Ice for this, I think. I don't think there are any broken blood vessels, since the white of your eye is still white."
"Where is the worst pain in your chest?" she asked. "I might be able to bind it, relieve some pressure."
