Ceridwen, meanwhile, had made her way to their house as quickly as possible. Jesse could see her coming as she swept up the path, the dark mother coming to check on those who had called for help.
Jesse let her inside before she could even knock, and she hugged him and continued inside. She'd brought a small bag with her, various herbs, wrappings, and tinctures. They really tied the 'healer' image together.
"Patricia, this is my mother, Anwen," Jesse said. "She'll have a look at your eye and your chest, if you want."
