Famine nodded. "I've seen this before," she reminded him quietly. She pressed the bell before either of them could think about it too much more.
Jesse answered the door, but he couldn't even drum up a small smile for them. He was too tired and scared. "Thanks for coming," he told them, moving to let them come inside. Famine followed him in, though she felt an itching sensation on the back of her neck. She could've sworn she'd felt something like this before.
